I have this ongoing debate with myself! Homemade deodorants recipes I have previously followed are great because I feel I am putting the best on my body but they don’t really provide all day protection for a sweater like me! And store bought deodorants contain ingredients that I would rather not place on my body. So what is a girl to do?
Develop a homemade deodorant recipe which is strong enough to last all day, even when I’m performing and sweat is dripping from every pore!
Why I don’t like store bought deodorants
Our skin is the largest organ and absorbs everything we place on it. In some products, Chemicals that have been banned in some countries are contained and they have the ability to disrupt hormone function in the body. The body is up against ingredients like Aluminium, parabens and unnatural fragrances so to win the battle against toxins is a major struggle.
This recipe is great as it doesn’t include any of those nasties and has quite a neutral smell so can be used by both ladies and gents. If you did want to change the scent, it's easy to switch essential oils to make your own unique fragrance.
This deodorant sets to a firm consistency, not melting even in temperatures in excess of 30 degrees Celsius and it also leaves very little residue or white marks on the skin.
